“I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this, but if you do…”

He knew his dad loved his mom, but it wasn’t until right after he lost him that he found anote that showed just how head over heels the carpenter was for her.

When he realized his mom’s workbench was wobbly, he decided to do what his dad had taught himfix it. He flipped the bench over to put in new bolts … and that’s when he foundthis:

The Imgur user wrote:

“My dad passed away on February 26th at the age of 51 from a ruptured artery. He made this workbench for my mom when she got into metal engraving. His note reads: “I love you Becca. Whatever day this is, I hope it’s a good one. God truly answered my prayers the day he gave me you. I know that these days are the best I’ll ever have, and I’m glad you’re in them. Just know that I love you very much. If there is one thing I want in life, it is to be as good to you as you are to me. If I can do that, I’ll be the happiest man alive. I love you, beautiful wife. Mason”

Edit: Thanks for the love guys. You don’t have to send me anything. I only ask that you love one another so there can be peace. Leave the world better than you found it.”

The writer goes on to share that the man CHOSE to be in his life: “He was technically my step dad, but being as how I’ve never met my biological father, he was the only and best father I had.”

How beautiful to leave a mark of love so subtly and yet so boldly. May we all find our own “workbench” to etch our hearts into, so that once we leave, those we once loved will never forget what they meant to us.
